Ole Staxen Foundation is now accepting applications for residencies at Refugiet Rævehaugen during the period May—October 2027.

Ole Staxen Foundation opens for applications for residencies at Refugiet Rævehaugen once a year. The residencies are awarded in early spring, and applications are assessed by the Foundation’s board.

• Applicants must have completed an artistic education or an equivalent relevant degree within the past five years.
• The residency lasts approximately four weeks and takes place between May and October.
• There are fixed dates for check-in and check-out.
• Ole Staxen Foundation does not provide materials. Grant recipients are therefore responsible for purchasing and obtaining any necessary materials before the start of their residency. Materials ordered for delivery must arrive during the residency period, as it is not possible to receive packages at the residency before the start of the stay.
• All artists receive a grant of DKK 20,000 (EUR 2675) towards e.g. travel expenses, materials and food.

• Project description (max. 1 page): A description of your artistic project or practice. The Foundation prioritises applicants with specific projects. Please describe how a residency at Refugiet Rævehaugen could contribute to the development of your project or practice.
• CV (max. 2 pages)
• Work samples (max. 5 pages): Visual documentation of previous and/or current works.
• Preferred period: Please indicate which period you would like to stay at the residency (see the periods listed below).
• Studio: Please indicate whether you wish to use the artist’s studio or the ceramics studio.
